Applicant must:

1. Be a Texas resident of at least 1 year.
2. Be or was in the past a graduating Texas high school senior and continues to participate in the sport.
3. Make a commitment to attend an accredited institution of higher education.
4. Be a legal resident of the United States.
5. Not be accepting a full scholarship.
6. Not have received the scholarship 5 times.
7. Complete 40 hours per semester that include 1 or more of the following:
    a. Train in a gym;
    b. Compete at 1+ meets;
    c. Coach at a club (as a paid employee or volunteer);
    d. Judge at 1+ meets (as a paid official or a voluntary second judge).

Award Guidelines:

1. Funds will be sent to the applicant directly after submitting receipts for educational expenses and proof that Scholarship requirements have been met.
2. Funds must be used for educational purposes i.e. tuition, books, fees, etc.
3. Final selections will be made at the J.O. State Championships. All applicants will be notified within 5 days.
4. Previous award recipients wishing to reapply should contact the President for an application.
