GAT Sims Meeting

In attendance: Bryan Kiser, Tim Erwin, Mark Sherman, Sean Sims, Marc Yancey, Bill Foster, Kevin Muenz, and Jarrett Pogue

 

 

Item 1: Introduction of Jarrett Pogue.

 

Jarrett introduces himself, gives a brief background, and makes a commitment to putting the Sims Scholarship as a priority as the Vice President Kiser stressed the importance of making the two meetings per year, 1 Friday before 5-Elite State, and GAT. Kiser will send affirming email out for response from existing board by 9/31/02.

 

Item 2: Remake Sims Video

 

Bryan Kiser wants to do it at Future Stars Testing October 19. Kevin Muenz has offered to get the teacher at Lakeview Centinnial H.S. to help us produce the new video.

Mark Sherman= This new video needs to be done in digital DVD format

 

Marc Yancey= Tim Erwin should edit and narrate the new video clips if narrator is needed.

Sherman= Application needs to be done in Adobe Acrobat and motioned that if Bret Stout did not have software to do that we should purchase that for him.

 

Tim Erwin 2nd the motion of purchasing software

 

Purchase of Adobe Software if necessary for Bret Stout passed Unanimously.

Bring back award ceremony for Sims reciptients at GAT Awards Banquet

 

Bring back booth at GAT

 

 

 

Sherman motioned that we put together a professional looking booth. This then turned to discussion about putting together 2 booths which would be set up and manned by the host of each of the 6&7 State Meets.

 

Muenz going to price the costs of putting together a professional booth

 

 

 

Board unanimously agreed that spending a $1000 to put together 2 booths would be well worth the money to make our community more aware of the Scholarship.

 

Meeting ended 1 p.m.
